As soon as I unplug my Sansa Clip from the computer, it dies. It seems that the battery does not load at all. I have had the Clip attached to my computer for more than 8 hours. All this time the Sansa Clip display shows ’ Connected’ and I see the battery icoon ’ recharging’ . But as soon as I unplug the clip the display turns black and the clip does not react to anything. My clip is only year and a half old and has not been used intensivly. Does anybody have a suggestion? Is there a way to revive my Clip. Kan the battery be replaced?
Thanks in advance
Geert
Hello Miikerman
You might be right about the firmware. Problems started after I updated the Clip using the Update program. I also read something about downgrading the firmware. I have tried this but I cannot get this to work. Where can I find official older versions of the firmware? And how do I apply them to my clip. I read that after placing the downloaded firmware all I need to do is disconnect the clip from the computer and start the clip. But in my case the clip is dead as soon as I disconnect it from the computer.

I fear, though, that if you lose power upon disconnecting, that’s a sign of an undone battery lead.
