Dead Sansa?

Suddenly my Sansa Clip will not remain on, and will only power up on occasion. When it does boot, it reaches the main menu and then immediately powers down. The battery has plenty of charge in it, so I know that its not dead. If I try plugging it into my PC it will not power up and charge, nor will the PC recognise it. The unit is about 7 months old.

Any ideas?

I would contact SanDisk about a replacement under their 1 year warranty. It sounds like it’s not something that can be resolved through formatting or firmwre updating (or re-installment). And those 2 things are about the only ‘repair’ choices a user has.

But just to be on the safe side . . . try a reset and see if that makes any difference.
