fuze should let you rename stuff while on the player itself
instead of havig to go to the comp:smiley:
You can do something similar to this in Rockbox, but I gotta tell you without a keyboard, editing text is clumsy at best; using the scroll wheel and up, down, right, left buttons to navigate the system. Pretty labor-intensive.
Much easier and faster to simply do whatever re-naming you need to do while the unit is plugged into the computer charging and what not.
Come to think of it though, this would be handy to change the default time/date stamp file name on voice and/or FW recordings. Is this what you had in mind?

Rockbox is a third party firmware developer who have created firmwares for other Sansa players. They dont have one for the fuze yet.
