And now my precious unique irrepleacable data cannot be accessed!! I need help in fixing this problem right away. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There has got to be a better way than just formatting the HDD and erase all data in it. There is no backup for the data stored in this HDD…what gives?
I don’t know… I’ve never had any of my drives lock themselves on me.
I know that when Bill (the guy that manages these forums) has encountered posts like this, his first (and and ssentially only) suggestion is to contact Tech Support, so I was saving him the trouble.
I don’t know if there’s much else anyone, as just a user of WD’s products, can do to help you.
