My Complete Drive Test Failed

Trying to set up My Passport for Mac 1 TB. Never used an external backup. In the WD Drive Utilities, it said my Complete Drive Test failed and it won’t let me try it again. The icon on my computer remains kind of orange…does not show the ‘locked’ symbol that the manual said it would.

Does this mean the hard drive is no good??? Sorry…complete novice here

Unfortunately, yes. It means the hard drive is not healthy and should be replaced under warranty. The following link contains instructions for submitting an RMA.
