I have a SanDisk microSD/microSDHC, 4GB, along with an adapter for the computer so I can plug it in to my laptop without an external reader (purchased as one unit last summer). I’ve never had any problems with my SD card until now. Some of the pictures are becoming unviewable on my phone. This isn’t really a world-ending problem, though.
The big issue is that, now, when I plug in my SD card to my computer, it will (sometimes) make the sound to indicate that it recognizes that something has been plugged in. However, it will take at least 5 minutes to show up in My Computer. It also crashes my Norton antivirus plugins with the internet. Norton is unable to scan the SD card. It says “initializing…” but never moves from that status. It makes my internet VERY slow. When I tell the Windows Explorere to close because it’s “not responding,” my screen goes blank except for my BGI, my Windows StickyNotes, and my mouse. The start button and the bar all go away. I can usually make it all come back after clicking around on the screen after opening the Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del still works like normal).
My computer is a Lenovo ideapad, Core i7 processor, Windows7, it still runs like new. I only got it last fall and I keep it up very well, considering I’m no computer expert (antivirus, defragmentation before it gets badly fragmented, dumping temp. files, etc.).
I have no idea what’s going on with my SD card!! Please help me!
