Micro sdhc 8gig: class 4 or 6?

Will I notice any difference between a class 4 and a class 6 card in how fast the Fuze accesses or writes music? There is quite a difference in price.

Thank

The class of the card matters when loading songs on the card and when the player does a database update. Imo class 4 is fast enough. I would not pay much extra for class 6. I would avoid class 2 cards though, as they might take around twice as long as a class 4 card to load. I don’t even think the Fuze can take full advantage of class 6 cards(ie. I think class 6 cards load faster in an adapter in a pc slot than in the Fuze).

Agreed. Once in awhile I can get a great deal on class 6 cards and are extremely fast when used with a card reader attached to the computer…not so much when inserted in the fuze, just as JK98 pointed out.

I think you should always buy Class 6 cards, especially when you can buy them for about the same price as Class 4 cards. For example, I’d purchased a 8GB PNY Class 4 card for $19.99 on sale but returned it when I found 8GB ADATA Class 6 cards for $18.99 (I bought 2!). I think you will notice a difference when the card refreshes after a change, I’ve never had to wait more than 1-2 minutes, even with a fully loaded 8GB card.
