I have a My Passport Essential 320GB, only used once before today. Installed fine, but locked up during the first backup, and now the drive is not being enabled when I plug it into the laptop. Device Manager indicates that the driver is not recognized or cannot be loaded. This same My Passport driver (and same cable) works fine or at least is recognized and connected, when I plug it into another laptop I have. So - how do I get Windows Vista to install and run the driver? I have downloaded and ran the WD SES driver installation - it did not fix my problem. The My Passport is still not being mounted properly when I plug it in to USB. Help!
