hi guys
dumped aload of music files onto my old 250gb drive. i had to do it a few times to get it all on there. The drive is pretty full now.
anyway, went to look at it yesterday, the blue light came on and windows saw it as a drive but didnt name it properly as the WD drive, juat gave it a letter
so i faffed about in disk manager and i inadvertantly made it an active drive, not only did i disable my laptop with a boot mger issue, but i cannot now see the drive at all on another laptop.
when it initially appeared with justa disk letter, i could not get into it, windows asking me to format it first and disk manager only saw 128gb instead of 250gb
so, now i cant see it at all. incidentally, there is now an issue by where the cable connector to drive needs to be angled, is, something under it and a weighty object placed on top, for it to power up, so that maybe loose there, dont know if this may have a bearing. i do have nother drive, but it has the new connector so cant test the cable…
