Very strange issue going on with my external drive – I’ve had it for about 6 moths and up until a few days ago, it’s worked totally fine. Then out of nowhere it stopped showing up when I plugged it in. The light comes on and I can hear it running, but my Mac (2015 10.13.3) just can’t seem to detect it. Here’s what’s super weird – I tried plugging it into my 2009 Mac and it showed up immediately. I then ejected it and tried plugging it in my 2015 Mac again and it showed up! This is now the only way I can get my 2015 mac to detect it (by plugging it into my 2009 mac first). I also have to unplug my wireless mouse before plugging it in, otherwise it won’t show up. I’ve reset PRAM, SMC, did the first aid check, pretty much everything. What in the world is going on?
