I have a WD My Passport Ultra which is unable to be read by my modem router DSL-2890AL. Does anyone have any ideas. The connection is via a usb cable. The router reads other usb drives… smaller in capacity…don’t have another 1TB HDD spare to try…The HDD is in NTFS format and powers through the same usb cable. Also tried enabling usb 3.0 but no good. Removed password security as well but still nothing. I need it just to share data across other laptops/devices at home. Please share your thoughts?
Hello, Rawad077,
WD® My passport is a plug and play mass storage device which is supported for use with the following operating systems,

Although using the product with a router is not officially supported the drive may work with your router. We would recommend contacting your router manufacture or if leased from ISP contact the ISP for more information if the WD My Passport is on the supported list of drives, and or if they have list of supported USB drives, supported File Systems, and partition schemes.
