WD My Passport Ultra EXTREMELY SLOW

Hi there,
My 3TB Ultra was working fine yesterday. Now the data rates are extremely slow. Copying files from the disk takes forever - speeds of less than 1.5MB/sec.

The drive is secured with WD secure. I can unlock it (sometimes), but data rates are in old floppy disk territory. What has gone wrong???
The drive has not been dropped or otherwise damaged.

Please help. I have important data that I need to get from the drive (as I was in the process of setting up new laptop after old one died).

Just try to change the USB cable and if the issue still persist then you should try to contact WD’s Technical Support about this.
