Hi there,
since a few days my external hard drive is not shutting down when I turn my PC off. The thing is that the drive had no problems on my old PC. There I had an ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX mainboard, and now I have a new ASRock Z170 Extreme 6+. The S.M.A.R.T. values are all green and the drive causes no other problems. I have also disabled the WakeON functions in my BIOS and the energy settings of my OS(Windows 10 Pro x64). Now I’m afraid that the drive could be damaged, because it is almost 2 years old.
I hope that anyone has an clue what the problem is about.
Thanks for your time.
