how to remove password?
I want to use it with Linux and Smart TV

Its having Virtual CD type password popup, updated the firmware yesterday but nothing seen to disable it.

I have done it, with WD security…

Hello,

You can disable the password using WD security or you can format the drive in order to delete the security.
Formatting the drive will also delete all data stored in it.
