Good day to everyone! I have a big problem with my WD 1TB USB 2.0 external drive. I unintentionally dropped it on the floor and was unaccessible after it has dropped. Few days later, I tried to plug it again and the drive became RAW and cannot be reformatted. After few weeks, I was a little bit lucky since I can now see my files, but it reads so very slow. If I’d try to play a video, it doesn’t play continuously eventhough the file is just a little size, say 5 or 10MB. Please give me an advice how to fix it. I need some of my files and I still have no other external drive to back it up before I’d try to reformat it. Thanks in advance!
Since you dropped it it’s probably physically damaged. You’ll probably need professional recovery to get data off it.
