Two years ago I bought a Sansa M240. At the time, it wasn’t that bad. Now, it’s pretty much trash. I was condsidering getting a Zune, but the Fuze went on sale for $50 today. It was sold out literally everywhere, but it was not onsale at Walmart so I went there and showed some circulars of other places and they price matched it. It seems nice, I haven’t used it yet though…been busy. My first question is, why do I have to get a converter for videos? Next, can I add songs like I did with the M240? With the M240, I would open up my computer, click the MP3 player, go to music, then open up another folder with my music, and just add it over into the other window. Next, I heard you can only charge it a limited amount of times. I can’t see it being true though, but is it? Lastly, how’s the sound quality and how comfortable are the head phones? Thanks. Oh yeah, how come the red in the papers and online showed it being really bright and ugly, but when I went to the store, it was really dark red and nice looking. Oh yeah, how do you update it? The how-to video did not work. What is MSC mode too?

The blue is the same way…brighter in the pictures, than in person. I think both examples look better in person…my Fuze is blue, and my Clip is red 
Yeah, they look much better in person. Thanks for the replies. I sort of figured out what MSC stands for, but the videos don’t work for me in Firefox 2.0 for some reason. I’m charging it at the moment, but what are your thoughts on the screen resolution? People say it ■■■■■, but when I messed with it at best buy, it seemed decent.
I think it depends on what you’re trying to put on it. It’s primarily a music machine, and I look at the video as a bonus. I personally have never put anything other than a video podcast on it, and I don’t think any of them were more than 10 minutes long…that said, they worked fine for me…I just used the SMC and although it took a little while to convert(probably from my older computer) they ended up playing fine. That was the earlier version of the SMC though, and I’ve since switched my podcasting over to my Clip. Why? Not because of video issues…but because there are 5 daily podcasts I listen to, asides from 4 or 5 weekly ones… and given that I have more memory on the external card than the internal, the refresh time was a little tiresome. It refreshes quickly with the internal memory alone, but when that 8gb card is full, it stretches the time out. Since then, I leave the Fuze full of music, enjoy having the bigger screen and album art, and just podcast with the little Clip. I rambled a little here, but your question…the short videos I tried look fine…never tried putting an hour Tv show or a movie on…seemed silly to me on a two-inch screen
