Smartware Home tab shows 39,976 files, Backup tab shows “Copying files” and 39,930 files backed up but my Passport Activity LED shows idle. WD Utilities shows drive OK. Data backup does not complete. Sleep on PC and My Passport disabled. Any clues please.

Is it doing the continues backup or scheduled backup, because in continues backup WD Smartware keeps on looking for the changes in computer in order to backup those files. Also refer to the link given below in order make sure that your backup is completed or not.
