YUCKY!! omg how i hate this…anybody got any ideas on how to get videos onto a sansa fuze with the SMC. the Smc just crashes me computer…??
There’s Video4Fuze, which is evidently really good. It’s in a post a few threads down. I’ve never tried it, since I have no problems with SMC, and I swear I’m the only one!

Seriously though, there have been many who pass by this forum with strange hair-dos, with SMC and videos on the Fuze as the root (pun intended) cause of frustration.
The short answer is that yes, it can be done (and many here, including myself have done it). But it ususally requires a multi-stage conversion process. Almost always another conversion program is used first, to convert the desired video into AVI format. Then that converted video is given to SMC for final conversion and transfer to your Fuze.
There are 1 or 2 exceptions, but they require a paid conversion program or the one recently developed by some clever folks here as suggested above by saxmaster. My Fuze has been on a semi-permanent loan-out so I cannot personally attest to it’s success, but from what I’ve read it sounds promising.
