Quite the Problem Concering Album Art.

Okay, so just recently, I formatted my Sansa Fuze and put all the songs back on and what not, because it was a little unorganized.

However, the album art… Oh, it shows up fine… Except in list view. In list view (when viewing albums), it shows the default icon for album art when it is not present.

Odd, any idea on how to fix this?

I tried restoring to factory defaults, and removing and adding the album art all over again. Nothing seemed to have worked so far.

Hello people,

I have the same problem as GOOMBA said.I also don’t have the art when navigating through album category in list view. But the art shows up fine in CD ripped music in list view. But the art does not show up in list view in the audio files I tagged myself.

Is it really worth worrying about in the list view?  I can understand wanting to see it when you are actually listening to an album.

Anyways…the bigger view you see when playing an album is usually slightly smaller than 200x200…the list view size is 75x75…do you have both sizes in your files? I turned that option off months ago, but just now turned it on to try and answer this post, and almost all of mine show up. So maybe check your files to see if you have both size jpg. ?

Art in List View works for “folder.jpg” or “album art.jpg” placed  in the Albums folder,  but it does not work for tag embedded album art.  It does also work for Album art syncronized via MTP transfers.

Is there a “definitive reference” for how big these 2 images actually are on the Fuze?  In my meager attempt to measure them, my results were 120x120 for the “Now playing” page, and 60x60 for the list view.  I ask because I have some code which generates the folder.jpg files at 120x120 to eliminate ( “Now playing” ) or reduce (list view) scaling on the Fuze (as well as minimize drive space).

I have all my art named “album art.jpg” sized 200x200 pixels, and they show up fine in list view.

Same here.

I still embedd album art into the mp3 file themselves, for use primarily with other applications, but I always include a small (same size as above) folder.jpg file with every album in those instances where I want to see the cover art in list view.
