Purchased 64GB Extreme Pro for my Canon Rebel XS - Camera will not format disk :(

Hi! Anyone have any ideas on how to format my new SanDisk (64GB Extreme Pro)? I put it in my Canon Rebel XS and my camera said I needed to format the disk. So I went to my menu settings on my camera to format the disk and get an error that says, “Cannot format. Change card.”

I just spent a lot of money that I didn’t have on this card. So I’m REALLLLLY hoping somebody can help me!!!

I am having the same problem. Anyone know what the solution could be?

There is no need to format a new memory card or flash drive. They come pre-formatted from the factory.
