Problems with a new 1 TB disk

Hi, I’ve just bought a new 1TB disk. The box and instruction says that my disk requires reformatting for using it with Mac OS. I followed the instructions https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=3865&s=#elcapitan and wasn’t able to finish the erasing process, I’ve got an error. Now, when I try to reconnect my disk to Mac, it shows error “The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer”. Disk is marked as “not mounted”. What do I do?

I did exactly the same step and have exactly the same problem, with a brand new Hard Drive. It can’t be read on a PC either so it is basically not possible to fix anything (I wanted to reformate it on a windows to see if it would fix the problem). I have run SOS also on Mac Disk Utility and I get an error message.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just purchase a new Hard Drive and is having the same problem. I am thinking of returning it to the store but I am waiting to see if anyone has afix.
