Pink Sansa Fuze 4 GB newest model number

I have found two different model numbers for this item.  I’d like to make sure I’m getting a newer model than an older one.

Amazon has this model number:  SDMX14R004GPA57

And this site and Walmart has it listed as:  SDMX14R004GPA70

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Why? There are no functional differences between the 2, the interfaces are the same as is the playback. The difference between v.1 and v.2 is some minor hardware differences and release date. So I would ask again why a v2 over a v1?

Thank you.  I didn’t know if there was a difference or not.  Usually when a newer version of something comes out, I think something changed or an earlier problem has been fixed (though, I guess that is what the firmware updates are for.). 

It’s good to know they are the same, I can pay the lowest price :slight_smile:

The other possibility is that the Fuze was more popular than they anticipated so when they went to order more support control curcuitry they could not get them so that were substituted with another that gives the same functionality but requires a different firmwre… hench why we have 2 firmware versions.
