Noisy drive

I have just started using my 4TB G drive. It’s driving me mad. Are they all SO noisy?

My computer is in my bedroom. I was going to use this as a TimeMachine backup, but I can’t listen to this all night!

Is there anything I can do? Can I send it back to get my money refunded?
