New Clip + No Album Folder Names

If I load 10 albums in my new Clip Plus, only about 3 show up after refresh. The rest of the songs are in the Clip + but not under the name of the album. Just a list of song names.

I use MSC, I drag and drop using windows explorer. I’ve used the older Clip for about 9 months with now problems loading / unloading albums.

I really want to navigate to an album by name.

All albums are live concerts by trader friendly bands. Downloaded as .flacs, converted to mp3 VBR VO using LAME in Traders Little Helper. Each concert is in an album folder such as–>

1977, 05-05 New Haven

Returned it for a new one.

Same problem.

Loaded 10 albums / folders, drag / drop from Windows explorer in MSC mode.

Only shows ONE album.

When I ask for play all it shows 276 songs, but no album names or song names.

What do you thinks?

I’ve used my regular clip for a long time with no probems seeing my albums / folders.

The albums show up on the player if the tags are in the songs. The song titles  are the title tag. Are the songs tagged properly? If not you could use a free program like mp3Tag to edit the tags.

The Clip+ also navigates by folders instead of tags. To do that, choose music, folders.

OK

Yes I use MP3Tag, and all the folders have names.

Music –> Folders worked!!

Now I see them organized! Thanks.

Is there another way to get to see them by just going to ALBUMS?

Just curious as going to folders is a lot of clicking. Is there something else I could do when I load them?

“Is there another way to get to see them by just going to ALBUMS?”

You will see them under ALBUMS if the songs have album tags. Those songs with the same album tag will be grouped together. You can use MP3Tag to give all the songs in a folder the same album tag in just one step.

Quite often tags are missing, so the solgs will then all be grouped together as unknown. MP3 tag also has a function to assign the title tag to be equal to the filename(minus the extension) for a whole folder of files. Very handy.

Use mp3Tag and make sure that all the tags are correct before you copy the files to the player. I usually copy and paste a folder at a time containing songs(or a folder containg folders with songs).
