Hi I have issues with my new WD 2TB Elements External HD which I purchased about 2 months ago from Office Works in Adelaide… My Win10 PC see’s the drive and I can write to it and can read from it. I use it for storing movie files I have converted to MP4 format. I have 3 PC’s and they can read and write to the drive. My issue is that my New WD 2TB Elements External HD is not recognised by my LG Bluray player. My older drives all 3 of them also 2TB Elements, sissues reading to my Bluray. I thought that maybe it needed formatting. I reformatted it to NTFS I then transferred files to the WD drive but would not read. I tried formatting to FAT32 same issue reads on my PC but not on my Bluray. I bought a powered USB bank thinking that this my have help but it didn’t. I have checked it out on my friends BluRay player. The drive would still not read on the BluRay. Can you please tell me if I have a bad drive or has something changed to prevent my movies from playing on my LG BluRay player. Why is this happening? Can you advise me how to fix the issue. The S/N on the drive is WXT1A67PR2LU ahd the Part No is WDBU6Y0020BBK - 08 Your assistance would be appriciated solving my issue. Ilook forward to your reply. I hope I dont have to move to a differnt brand as I am a WD fan. All my PCs have WD Drives in them. I HOPE YOU CAN RESOLVE MY ISSUE - Thanks regards Arthur Rees Adelaide South Australia.
Make sure the partition table is MBR, not GPT.
