MyBook Thunderbolt Duo 8T RAID 1 Configuration fails

Brand new MyBook Thunderbolt Duo 8T. Mac Yosemite 10.10.5
Can’t reconfigure it as mirroring RAID 1. Followed all steps in the disk utility with no luck. Tried several times.
Nothing on the disk at all. I moved the disk image to my internal drive.

See page 21 of the User Manual. It provides step by step instructions. Be sure to disconnect the TBolt cable and only have the USB3 cable connected prior to starting up the drive whenever you use the WD Drive Utilities.

Thanks. Although I thought I had moved everything off the new drive before I started – I still had the instruction manual open. That stopped the disk utility. After a brief, forehead slapping moment, I closed everything, opened the instructions from my internal drive and proceeded successfully.
