I have last OS 10.11.4 El capitan. I have now problem with my passport for mac 2TB ( it used to work like a charm). The disk is mounting on my main computer (it is password protected) but I can’t no longer see the unblocker on three other computer (the Cd is not appearing anymore).
I tried to unprotect my disk, reinstall last wd security utility, reinstall wd utility, check my disk (everything is ok) and password protected or not it is appearing only in one computer not on my other three computers (my 3 others computer are perfect).
I have different systems installed in the three other computers: one have the same 10.11.4, another one mavericks and another one yosemite. I cannot delete the content of the disk since I have a lot of data and want to avoid to have to redo everything.
What’s happening: 3 weeks I tried everything and nothing works. Computers are ok, hard disk is ok but wd passport is mounting only one one !
If you have tried different computers and the disk is not detected then other than a faulty USB cable we are looking at a hard drive failure. If you do not have a backup and the data is important then I’d recommend contacting a professional data recovery service company.
