I bought a WD My Passport 1TB on March 24th, 2014. When I plugged it in my windows 8 laptop it loaded the software and when I go to this pc (computer in windows 7) it was assigned E: drive. April 2nd I plugged in my passport to download some movies and when I came back to check on it I had found out that my son accidently removed the cord from the passport and the passport was on the floor. Like most parents I was not happy that this had happped. I plugged it back and the light came on and it was making some spinning noise, but the drive would not show up. I can find it in my device manager and the computer allows me to umount the drive but I it will not set a drive which was previously E:. If anyone know how to fix this problem please let me know as I liked this product until this happened.
