So I was listening to my clip, like always, and it suddenly froze. It stopped playing music and the screen froze on the song it was on. I tried turning it off, and nothing happened. I tried pressing every button, and no response. I was at work. So when I got home I tried to plug it into my computer, and my computer doesn’t even recognize it. I have tried all the troubleshooting on the website, and nothing works. Yes, I even tried the most basic, holding the power button up for over 20 seconds. And nothing. I don’t know what else to do. I have had the clip for a little over 2 years now. I love it, but am sad that it isn’t working right now.
Mine did that to me recently, too (although I haven’t owned it nearly as long). I finally got it to turn on and off, but many of the files were gone, and the computer wouldn’t recongize any of the ones that were left, although it saw the space was being “used”, and I could play the files fine on the device. I had to format the Clip, and it’s been working fine ever since.
