I have a My Book Essential external HD and I am trying to back up my MacBook Pro. I’ve done it before, about 4 months ago, but the Run Backup tab won’t highlight and let me press it. It categorizes my files and says Ready for Backup, but it won’t let me. If I press Cancel Backup, I get a message that asks me if I intended to stop the backup and give me the option to continue backing up or cancel it…so strange.
What am I missing? I can use Time Machine to back it up, but I want to save my files onto the external HD. I did buy it for a reason. Please advise. Thank you!!
