okay i downloaded the SMC and it doesn’t work…i add the video but the “converter” button is not lit up for me to convert…
so then i attempted to watch a video and did step by step what it said, still didn’t light up to click “convert”
so i tried DivX converter, then once i convert the videos i go to “my computer” click on the “sansa” and click “internel memory”, open the “video” folder and drag & drop the converted videos and then when i unplug my sansa it says “refreshing media” then when i go to “videos” on my sansa there is NOTHING there.
I even tried syncing them through windows media player…still DIDNT WORK.
i don’t understand what i am doing wrong? im so confused and this is more work than it needs to be.
Keep Scrolling down the main message board directory, there is a forum just for SMC. You posted in the How-To-Videos board. I understand he confusion. If you repost in that board you will get a better and more complete answer
Run your videos through DivX to convert to a format that the SMC can handle, then run them through the SMC to further convert and transfer to your player. You cannot simply drag & drop them.
Most videos require a 2-step conversion process. But 98% of the time, the final one has to be the SMC.
If you have any more problems, feel free to follow CB's suggestion and get more specific help either in the SMC (or your player’s) board.

Try plugging in the Fuze to your computer first. Then open SMC. That’s what works best for me. Then add the video to SMC and click on the video. The 'convert" button should be lit up now.
