I just bought a 4gb fuze from Buy.com that appears to be a black market unit. After reading about the new upcoming firmware update in another thread, it prompted me to check my serial number on the back of the unit. I looked at mine and realized that it was scratched off. This was a brand new sealed in the plastic package Fuze. From experience, I seem to remeber that a missing serial number or a cut or missing label is not a legitamate product. Regardless of the reason, I am sure if it needed warranty service, I would not be eligible. I am trying to return it but their website does not make it easy to have communication.
Has anyone else noticed their serial number scratched off?
