Help! Sansa e130 With Dead Screen

I have a Sansa e130 with dead screen. My vendor has checked it.  They said the screen has to be replaced which cost about 70% of a new unit.

Anybody can help?  I’m located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

It’s a long shot, but maybe somebody has a dead Sansa e130 with good working LCD?

You could search on eBay for an e130 that you could cannibalize for parts…

I have a dead e130 (maybe two, as my second died today, that’s why I’m looking on this forum) that you are welcome to try.  I don’t know why it died.  As a test that the screen wasn’t dead, I just tried to start and play blind as if it were only the screen that failed.  I did this test by holding the start button for a good time, then hitting play, and also hitting the middle button on the front for a few times hoping it would get to a play mode, then hit play again.  Nothing.

Send me a PM with your address.  I’ll be sending it via the cheapest postal method.

When I got back home, I saw a small USPS package laying on the table.  It was the broken e130 sent by jj2me (I guess).  Thanks, jj2me!

Too bad I cannot check the LCD condition because it won’t switch on.  It even wasn’t recognized when plugged in to my Sony Vaio TZ16’s USB port.

Anyway, thank you for your kind effort of sending me the e130.  I really appreciate it.  One of these days, I’ll bring it to my friend’s workshop and take it appart…
