Hello All,
Bought a 2Gb Clip this week for my wife. She commutes by train & wanted something to listen to on the journey. Our tastes tend mostly to classical music, along with some old person’s rock/pop!
So far I have to say I am very impressed; for me the geeky one the drag & drop simplicity, .ogg support & and the ease of use from within linux are a great boon. My wife is not at all geeky, but spent about half a minute with the menu structure and declared it perfectly self-evident. The font on the menus is esy to read, albeit with her glasses.
The issues of digital audio players with classical music are well-documented elseh=where; suffice it to say that it all seems quite manageable with the Clip, and AFAIK virtually no players provide gapless playback, the one thing classical enthusiasts tend to bleat about!
From a (so far) happy user
