E130 trying to play licensed music

Hi all,

I recently bought a used E130.  I’m enjoying playing with it but I can’t download the music I’ve downloaded from the internet (legally) because the E130 won’t accept the license i.e. not playsforsure compatible.

I’ve updated the firmware to 1.0.010 and still can’t play the songs on it.  Is there another firmware update I can download to enable the E130 to accept the license for this music.

I dont believe there is, this is a rather old player and I dont think it can handle any of the licenses. Regardless if you upate the firmware or not.

nope no DRM support on e100 series player.

even with the firmware update the e100 can not play DRM protected music.
