I searched the forums but couldn’t find conclusive proof that the Clip+ supports Vorbis comments which are the official standard for FLAC files. 99% of my library is in FLAC format with Vorbis comment tags only.
Checked a few files encoded and tagged by flac.exe (launched by EAC as a custom command line encoder, i.e. -V -6 -T “artist=%a” -T “title=%t” -T “album=%g” -T “date=%y” -T “tracknumber=%n” %s) and the tags showed up fine on my Clip+.
