Why , chipset ? Well , usb to cdrom possible ?
Yes, chipset in Cruzer required to support a 2nd drive as a USB device. SanDisk stopped making them that way around 2009.
Why do you want the USB device to act like a CDROM?
You don’t want U3 installed. They stopped it since it posed a lot of issues to users a while back.
I’ve never had a problem with my U3 drives and I use them in XP, 7 32bit, 7 64bit.
