As far as I can tell, the only major difference between the Sansa Zip Clip and the Sansa Clip Plus is that the former plays AAC encoded files (.m4a file extensions) such as you get from iTunes. Is that correct?

The actual, physical clip on the back of each player is built more solidly on the Zip.
- And the Zip firmware & GUI is based on the Fuze+.
- And the Zip’s FM Radio includes RDS (Radio Data System) that displays station’s call letters and song info.
- And the Zip’s screen does not display the elasped time or time remaing on the track that is playing.
- And the Zip uses a micro-USB connector plug instead of the mini-USB plug on the Clip+.
So you see, there are quite a few changes/differences between the two, even though they are based on the same model.
