Clip Won't Engage the "Play" Function

Had the clip, worked great for a few months, put it on pause/turned off briefly today to listen to someone say something and when I turned the Clip back on it will no longer engage the “play” function for songs. Can still select menus, flip between songs and features, but not able to play .mp3s. Searched on the forum here for a bit, no luck as of yet. Anything would be greatly appreciated!
