I’ve tried everything. Been trying for about an hour. Do I just have a defective player?
Oh, and my computer is a mac. Is that going to be a problem also?
Did you try changing the language in Settings?

the easiest way to do it will be to use the manual firmware instructions posted at the top of the clip board and update the firmware. once the firmware update is done you will be promted to choose your language. then all you need to do is select english.
