backlight problems

Hello .i’m having various problems with my sandisk. 

  1. the most severe is that the backlight seems to be malfunctioning. It doesn’t switch off. When the 60 seconds are up, it pauses and the song resets, with the backlight still on. 

  2. Go Lists and ratings don’t stay. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

Haven’t heard any other reports of this behavior.  You might want to try reformatting and reinstalling the latest firmware.  If that doesn’t fix it, it could actually be a hardware problem.

Yea, i downloaded the latest firmware. Still pauses for 10 seconds when the backlight goes off and then restarts at the beginning of the song.  Would “format” or “reset factory settings” help?  Would i lose all data on my fuze?  Should i save it all to computer first?
