Hi,
i have a WD My Book WD20000H2Q-000 with 2x 1TB hdds.
I configured them in mirror (RAID1) for max data loss prevention.
A couple of days ago the light is blown while the My Book was running.
When I turned on the drive again, the array configuration automatically switched to RAID0 (!!!) and now i see a giant 1.863 GB disk with one 931GB RAW partition and 931 GB unpartitioned.
How can i get my data back?
hi,
need software rebuild two HDD with raid1 and save image file. then scan data from image file.
Hi,
do i have to dismount the drives and connect them to the motherboard or do i rebuild the mirror into the WD enclosure?
How can i trust again of such enclosure if a simple blackout is enough to loose the device configuration and consequently all data?
Is it common to all WD My Book? I have another identical one that just was off at the blackout and now i am worried for this one too.
hi,
you can connect them to PC use winhex clone every drive into single image file. so you can work with image files without touch. or you can directly work with hard drive. but you can’t do any change in these drives. can’t write anythings only. them try to build raid with files after save the result image and scan it. it should recovery what you want if you build with right parameter.
note again: don’t make any change on original drive。
