On 3/29 I updated My Passport Essestial SE to 1.6.5 . message at top of page: “partial backup accomplished. Remaining files will be added later. Click view files for details.”
Waited til morning of 3/30 to see if other files were added. They were not. On subsequent tries, receive message “no writable partition found”. Problem # 2: There is no “view files” button to click for details.
Image of J drive shows 0 files backed up. Have tried shutting down power to computer and all components. No change at restarting . Using Windows 7.
Also, when I open J drive in Explorer the only files listed are my initial backup folder from when I installed WD (12/2010) and the Quicken backups I have done manually (monthly) from Quicken program. Should other backups be shown assuming it has been backing up continuously since that date.
Thanks for any help. I am not particularly technical savvy but usually can logically attack a problem and find a solution.
