Accidently dropped 1tb WD elements

I have accidently dropped it from about 3 foot hight on a carpet floor , and when I tried to use it I plugged the usb cable in , I cant find it on my computer but it appeared in the devices and printers icon , there is also a clicking sound i can hear from it , two clicks then stops then two clicks then stop.

so what can I do now ? can I fix it somehow ? or do I need to use a data recovery program to get my files back ? does the 2 years warrenty that I have support repairing this issue ? if there is a data recovery service provided by your company what is it and how can I contact them ? how much it will cost me ? and will I get all my files back for sure ?

Hi, welcome to the community.

If the drive is making clicking sound there is really no way that a data recovery software will get the information as the drive has physical damage and not recognizable.

WD does not provide for Data Recovery, however they do have data recovery partners that you can see here. If the drive is within warranty, WD will replace the drive for you after you recovery the information. You can also contact support if you need any more information.
