I have a refurbished 6GB Sansa E270 v1, will not turn on, comp (on both XP and Vista) will not recognize the device. Tried all the steps I could find, nothing will work. Only thing that does happen is the blue ring/wheel will light up, and that’s it.

Any advice is appreciated.

Open it up and see if the daughter board came loose from the main board.

Remove the rear panel and look above the battery module.  You’ll see a black cover at the top section, with a grey smaller rectangle.  Give this a gentle press inward, and see if you notice a click as the daughterboard snaps back into the socket.
