5 seconds remaining

All of a sudden, my external drive has became very slow to transfer anything on to.

I’m unable to download anything directly to it, it would take years. When moving something from my internal drive to it, it takes along time and 9/10 hangs at “5 seconds remaining”

Tried it on another laptop and its doing the same thing.

Tried a different USB cable and its doing the same, also formatted and its still not working.

Have you tested the drive?

That’s a sign of drive failure.

You can find out if the unit is under warranty, and if it is you can start the RMA (return merchandise authorization) process here-
