WHAT DO I NEED FOR MY SANSA FUZE TO BE ABLE TO UPLOAD MUSIC

The main site is just an index. It leads to whatever site has the mp3–including dead links, links to non-files (like the one I found) and who knows what else. I might use it if I were desperate, but I wouldn’t recommend it to newbies.

Anyone using it should have a good antivirus software, and should probably learn about ID3 tags because the tags are going to be a mess.

Thank you very much you guys. I now have music on my Sansa:]

And I think that’s all I needed to know even though I didn’t know that was all I had to do which was right click on a download and click SAVE TARGET AS then save it to my desktop and copy and paste it to my Sansa music folder.

I thought I would need to download things for my Sansa to be able to work.

Yeah this is my first music player in a very long time…so no wonder I didn’t know much of anything.

Do I still need the Sansa Updater thing?

I don’t like the updater because it runs every time you start your computer, taking longer to boot up.  As I see it, the better idea would be to just check the forums every few weeks (or months) and see if there is a newer firmware than the one you can see under Settings/Info/Firmware Version (or is it Settings/System Settings/Info/Firmware version --my Fuze is somewhere else at the moment).

Since you have the updater, you might as well see if you have the latest, and use it to get the latest if you don’t. But then uninstall it.

SanDisk isn’t perfect by any means, but one smart thing about these players is exactly that they don’t need extra software (for music, anyway…video is another story). MSC mode makes it look like a USB flash drive to Windows.  MTP mode finds drivers that are in Windows Media Player 10 or 11. So for most people it is plug-and-play.
