THere is a bug where a Chirp is heard between tracks. Its due to a miscalculation in the File size due to embedded album art. It is fixed in the next release.
That’s not the same glitch we are talking about.
Though I know what you are referring to and I am glad they are fixing that.
I don’t get a chirp between tracks, just silence. Fine on most albums, but on some (e.g. David Thomas’ Mirror Man) you can get a gap inserted in the middle of a lyric or solo.
Any plans for a fix on this? Gapless play back would make this an *excellent* player…
this happened to me yesterday- just once up to now. The player was part way through a track and I was accessing the menu items at the time. If it happens again I’ll try to note what I was doing - if anything. Not sure about faulty track though= it’s played lots of times without problems.

Would having a special post listed as “Fuse Volume Glitch>>>>” requesting the following info be helpful?
Lead post explaining the problem and for those having the problem to post the following information on posts.
Model:
last 4 digits of Serial #:
Firmware version:
Volume issue ramdom: Yes __ No __
File Type being played:
or…something like this. Hopefully there would be enough info that the programers could use. Maybe by listing Serial number, someone could see a problem with a batch of Fuse’.
I think SanDisk has enough ‘background’ info on the problem as it is. They are aware of it and are working on a fix via firmware. If someone’s player, whatever version does not suffer from the malady, then the fix in the firmware would be ignored by the player.
