Retrieve data on my WD Passport after Windows 10 image erase everything

Hi,

I bought a WD Passport to back up my computer so I could then reset it.
Having issues with the reset and Windows 10, I went on another computer to download windows 10. I then created an image of windows 10 on my WD Passport.

Doing so erase everything on it! Any clue how I can retrieve the data.
Fyi, this action also change the name of my WD Passport to "ESD-USB (F:).
When I go to property I now only see 31.9 GB capacity in the “General” tab.

Can you pls help.

Best regards,
Alex

Data can’t be retrieve back after the erase drive process during windows image creation. You may try to use data recovery tools or directly with data recovery companies.

Hi,

it seems that the drive has overwritten with the Windows 10 image and now there is no scope of recovery. Nevertheless, you can give a shot to data recovery software like easeus, stellar, etc. might be these recovery tools will help you out.
