Recently backed-up files not listed in WIN 10 file system

Recently backed-up files that I can see with WD Smartware are not showing in the Windows folder “This PC/ My Passport (H)”. Only showing in the WIN 10 file system (under My Passport) are two and more years old backed-up files. How can I make the recent files show there?

I’m using a “My Passport Ultra” external drive.

Hi KenD,

I would suggest to check the backed up files manually in WDSmartWare.swstor folder in My Passport Ultra drive. You may refer this KBA to manually access the backed up files.

Thanks Brandon. Yes, I can see my recently backed up files by using the WDSmartware.swstor folder. My original question was not written accurately . I used to also be able to see all my backups in the Data folder (in the same list as the WDSmartware.swstor file). And I can still see the ones there that are dated prior to a couple of years ago. I was wondering why the recent ones don’t show up any more.

It’s not really an important issue, as the backing up process is working OK. I was curious as to why the change occurred.
